Record of the Members Meeting 18th December 2007
PRESENT 26 members and 2 guests attended.
The President welcomed members and invited them to add their names to a Refreshment Rota for 2008.
A posy was presented to Gill Fisher, whose birthday falls on Christmas Day.
THE RECORD of the Annual Meeting on 20th November was taken as read and agreed.

5. National Federation are inviting participation in a Healthy Lifestyle competition - details available from the Secretary.
BUSINESS & REMINDERS
1. The new programme for 2008 is available for members - thanks to Sylvia for arranging a good variety of speakers
2. Ann Beadle hopes to arrange 4 outings for us next year - one for each quarter. We have 2 definite proposals - Christchurch Manor and Stonham Barns - but Ann would still welcome other suggestions
3. Scrabble Club meets 2 p.m. 19th December at the Angel Studio, Bentwaters Park
4. Community Carols also on 19th December, 6.30 p.m. outside Costcutters
5. Trip to Snape Christmas Spectacular on 20th December - performance at 7.30 p.m.
6. Thanks to Judith Rutherford who was asked to read on behalf of the W.I. at the St. Gregory’s Carol Service on 16th December.
SPEAKER
Our speaker was Mark Nowers from the R.S.P.B, who gave a very interesting talk, accompanied by many beautiful slides, on the important conservation work undertaken by the R.S.P.B. in their Suffolk reserves.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
Our Christmas Celebration followed the speaker with wine and soft drinks served by Committee members. Thanks to all members who provided food and nibbles. Well received too was the “Secret Santa” Lucky Dip - thanks to everyone for taking part.
THE NEXT MEETING will take place on January 15th, 2008. The President wished all members and guests and Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
