RECORD OF MONTHLY MEETING OF RENDLESHAM W.I. HELD
AT ST FELIX CHURCH ON TUESDAY 17th JULY 2007
PRESENT 22 members and 5 guests attended.
.THE RECORD of the meeting held on 19th June was read and signed. There were no matters arising.
CORRESPONDENCE
Details were given of:
1)An increase in subscriptions for next year to £27
2)Local and national reports from the AGM
3)Procedure for submitting a resolution for 2008
4)NFWI Open Day invitation
5)Invitation from Snape W.I. to their quiz to be held on 26th October
REMINDERS
1)Volunteers were requested for the Federation Quiz on 24th September
2)Change of date for the Scrabble Club from third Monday in the month to third Wednesday from September. August’s meeting will be 22nd as a one off, usual time and venue.
3)The balance of payment for the Suffolk village coach trip on 3rd September of £5 for members, £6 for non members will be collected on the coach
4)Travel arrangements for the Orwell Lady trip on 10th August were given
FUTURE EVENTS
1.Details were given of a proposed trip to the Vineyard at Framlingham on 20th September. Payment of £5 was collected.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
1.Members were thanked for their help and donations for the stall at RAF Woodbridge which raised a net £90.30. The next fundraiser is the Rendlesham Street fair on 27th August. Donations of plants, cakes and produce were requested.
2.Members have expressed an interest in spending our bursary on an Image Consultant. The committee will ascertain whether the proposed presentation by Colour Me Beautiful represents good value for money compared with silk painting or wine tasting and report to members in order to make a final decision.
SPEAKER
Chris Place, ably assisted by Vivienne, Buzz and Lola gave a very entertaining talk about the Prison Service and the role of Drugs Dogs.

Thanks to Jill Whitelaw, Eileen Caddick and Suzanne Gentle for preparing the refreshments.
THE NEXT MEETING will take place on Tuesday 18th September at 7 p.m. and the subject will be “Crafty Candles”
