RECORD OF MONTHLY MEETING OF RENDLESHAM W.I. HELD
AT ST FELIX CHURCH ON TUESDAY 19th JUNE 2007

PRESENT 22 members and 5 guests attended.

.THE RECORD of the meeting held on 15th May was taken as read and signed.

CORRESPONDENCE
Details were given of:
1)A Speaker Showcase at Orford Street on 29^th June
2)Group 8 outing to the villages of West Suffolk on 3^rd September. A £3 deposit was taken from those wishing to attend.

REMINDERS
1)Unwanted gifts or craft items are needed for the stall at RAF Woodbridge plus volunteers to help with the stall on the day.
2)Travelling arrangements for the trip to Radio Suffolk on 2^nd July
3)The Scrabble Club will meet again on 16^th July, usual time and venue

FUTURE EVENTS
1.The Food Hygiene Course to be run by Gordon Adams has been postponed until later in the year. Members were asked to apply to go on the SEFWI course.
2.A trip on the Orwell Lady is being planned for 10^th August. A £3 deposit was taken form those wishing to attend.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
1.Our website is now up and running. Many thanks to Jenny Fitton for all her hard work.
2.We didn’t have any winners at the Suffolk Show this time but thanks and congratulations to those who took part.
3.Members were asked for their views on how we should use our bursary. The committee will review the forms before the next meeting.

SPEAKER
Brian Faulkner, the Melton vet gave a very entertaining talk about his training and career.

REFRESHMENTS
Thanks to Gill Carr, Adele and Emma Sellears for preparing the refreshments.

THE NEXT MEETING will take place on Tuesday 17^th July at 7 p.m. and the speaker will be Chris Place talking about the prison Service and the Role of Drugs Dogs.
