RECORD OF MONTHLY MEETING OF RENDLESHAM W.I. HELD
AT ST FELIX CHURCH ON TUESDAY 15th MAY 2007

PRESENT 23 members and 3 guests attended.

.THE RECORD of the meeting held on 17th April was taken as read and signed.

CORRESPONDENCE
Details were given of:
1) A trip being organised by Bromeswell W.I. to the Newmarket Stud and Ickworth House on 18^th June.
2) Deben W.I. Fashion Show on 22^nd May
3) Hollesley W.I. Open Meeting on 12^th June

REMINDERS
1) Unwanted gifts or craft items are needed for the stall at RAF Woodbridge plus volunteers to help with the stall on the day.
2) Travelling arrangements for the trip to Bawdsey Manor on 17^th May
3) The next Group Meeting at Hollesley Village Hall on 22^nd May

FUTURE EVENTS
Gordon Adams is prepared to run a Food Hygiene Course for two of our members initially with the possibility of more later in the year. Sylvia will arrange a date. Sue, Emma, Maureen and Sylvia expressed an interest in attending.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
It is apparent that some members are having difficulty in hearing the Speaker. There is sometimes quite a lot of background noise so members were asked to keep chat to a minimum.

RESOLUTION
Jenny Wilkinson briefly explained the background to the Resolutions process and there followed a debate on this years resolution urging HM Government to stop the closure of Community Hospitals which provide essential services to local people. The resolution was supported by a majority vote.
Jenny also spoke briefly about the Great Milk Debate and the Denman College bursary.

REFRESHMENTS
Thanks to Gill Fisher, Ann Beadle and Judith Rutherford for preparing the refreshments.

THE NEXT MEETING will take place on Tuesday 19^th June at 7 p.m. and the speaker is Brian Faulkener, the Melton vet.
